Bringing a new baby home is a chapter you’ll never want to forget, and photography is a way to hold onto those first fleeting days. Babies grow and change so quickly, but the photographs from your newborn session will always take you back to the very beginning of their story.
As a luxury newborn photographer based in Surrey, my approach is relaxed, natural, and baby-led. I keep the focus on the little details and the bond you share as a family, creating images that feel genuine and full of emotion. I aim for simplicity and authenticity, giving you timeless portraits that will remain just as meaningful years from now as they are today.
Your session will take place in my calm, light-filled studio in Banstead, Surrey. Designed with both comfort and beauty in mind, the studio is filled with soft pastels, gentle textures, and carefully curated, minimalist props, all available for your use. The space is quiet, peaceful, and perfectly suited to newborn photography.
It’s more than a photoshoot, it’s an experience where you can slow down, breathe in your baby, and celebrate the love that fills your growing family.
Whether you are based in Surrey, travelling from London, or simply looking for the right person to document these early days, I am here to capture them beautifully and naturally.
There is something incredibly special about those first days at home with your baby. Everything feels slower, quieter, and slightly unreal.
My work as a newborn photographer revolves around preserving that feeling, not just how your baby looked, but how those early days felt.
I don’t follow a rigid formula. Sessions are calm and baby-led, with time for feeds, cuddles, and pauses whenever they’re needed. Some babies sleep deeply. Others prefer to stay close in your arms. We simply move at their pace.
Families visit my Banstead studio from across Surrey and South London, wanting something natural and considered. Something that doesn’t feel rushed or overly styled.
That is always my intention.
Most newborn photo shoots take place within the first couple of weeks after birth, when babies are still beautifully curled and sleepy. That said, there is no strict window. Every stage has its own quiet beauty.
There is time built into every session.
Time for feeding.
Time for settling.
Time for you to simply sit and breathe your baby in.
I gently capture the details you never want to forget – the way their fingers wrap around yours, the softness of their lashes, the shape of their lips as they sleep. We also create relaxed family portraits, without stiff posing or complicated setups.
The styling remains simple throughout. Soft wraps, muted tones, delicate textures. Nothing that distracts from your baby.
The studio is filled with natural light, creating newborn photography that feels timeless rather than trend-led.
Parents often comment on how peaceful the space feels. That sense of calm is intentional. These early days can feel overwhelming, and your session should feel like a pause, not another task on your list.
Your images are not created to sit on a screen. They are meant to be held, framed, and lived with.
I offer carefully crafted fine art prints and bespoke framed pieces designed to become part of your home and your family’s story. Each piece is chosen with intention: understated, refined, and made to last.
Years from now, when your baby is no longer quite so small, these photographs will gently take you back. Back to the softness. The stillness. The overwhelming love of the beginning.
Most families reserve their session during the second trimester, as only a limited number of newborn bookings are taken each month.
If you are based in Surrey or South London and feel drawn to a calm, natural approach to newborn photography, I would love to hear from you. Families visit my studio in Banstead from Epsom, Reigate, Cheam, Coulsdon, and London to document this beautiful early chapter.
The ideal time for a newborn session is when your baby is between 1 and 2 weeks old. During this stage, they’re still wonderfully sleepy and naturally curl into those womb-like poses, making it the perfect time to capture their delicate, newborn beauty.
Babies are beautiful at every stage, and even if you’ve missed those very first days, it’s never too late to capture precious memories. If your little one is up to 3 months old, we can often still create soft, sleepy, newborn-style images, along with beautiful portraits that reflect their growing personality. These moments are fleeting, but they’re always worth remembering.
I recommend booking your newborn session at least 2–3 months before your due date, ideally after your 20-week scan, to ensure availability. However, if your baby has already arrived and you haven’t pre-booked, please don’t worry, get in touch, as I may still have a last-minute opening for you.
Absolutely! Family portraits are such an important part of your newborn session. I capture a beautiful blend of gently posed images of your baby, along with relaxed, natural moments that include parents and siblings. These images celebrate the love and connection your growing family shares—because this chapter is just as much about all of you as it is about your new arrival.
A week after your session, I’ll invite you back to my studio for your viewing and ordering appointment, where we’ll go through your beautiful photographs and select the ones that speak to you most. Together, we’ll find the perfect images to showcase in your home. Whether you decide on digital files, wall art, or a custom album, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.I offer a variety of products, including digital images, fine art prints, framed fine art prints, and albums.
